Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Co., Ltd. (NSENGI) contribute to the construction of regional energy infrastructure while making low-carbon societies a reality. With our On-site Energy Service/Co-generation, we have created new business schemes that go beyond existing business models, and we support our customers with our new business models that include the supply and maintenance of equipment offering the stable provision of energy that they need.
Under long-term contract, a customer is provided low-priced electric power and heat energy from cogeneration facilities built, owned and operated by Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Co., Ltd. in the customer's plant.
Of the 17 large-scale geothermal power plants in Japan, Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Co., Ltd. (NSENGI) has been responsible for the construction of steam production equipment and pipelines on nine of them. We use this experience to provide excellent equipment that is easy to operate and maintain. We also plan and build eco-friendly equipment focused on harmony with the residents of the area and the precious flora and fauna. Thus, we shall continue to contribute to the effective use of Japan's geothermal resources, whose reserves are the third largest in the world.
This technology is making a major contribution to the development of ITER, with the goal of utilizating promising nuclear fusion technology as a next generation energy source.
